The Sunflower was the third piece added to this collection. There was two years in between her and the Cosmo, which I finished in 2022. In some ways it felt odd to pick back up a theme I had started so long ago. But my heart had never abandoned those first two pieces I drew.
After spending so long staring at this piece, getting every little detail just right, I knew I was finished. But it took months to actually be able to look at it and appreciate it for what it is. Creating beauty is hard, and sometimes seeing it is even harder.
Originally drawn by hand with micron pen and India ink, this piece took me 13 hours to complete.

After doing a ton of research online about art and how people are selling it, I felt overwhelmed. There were very cheap options that felt impersonal or created more work for the buyer. And there were, of course, outrageously expensive options. Options, options, and more options.
I decided to offer my small collections in the form of framed prints in order to diminish that feeling of overwhelm. To only offer what you need, at a price point you can swallow.
I spent hours editing the scans of my artwork and had many test prints made in order to ensure the highest quality possible. My hope is that these framed prints will allow you to easily invite more beauty into your home.
